I'd forgotten how very hard it is to come back down from a vacation, even a short one. Or maybe, especially a short one! I actually feel brain fogged. Thank you, Olympics for giving me a reason to veg out on the sofa after work each night.
People have been very enthusiastic about our Colorado pics. Everyone, it seems, loves the Rockies. Although I can't begin to imagine driving around Estes Park or Keystone/Breckenridge or any other resort town in the winter, I'm sure it's spectacularly beautiful then, too. Hope that Kit uploads his photos and video soon so we can all see what the place looks like through a pro's lenses!
It was particularly meaningful to be able to share this vacation with our young adult children. Who knows when we'll get to vacation again together, or where their lives will take them next?
Here's to the future of family travel...may this be the first of many delightful shared experiences to tuck away in our individual memory banks.

Our trip to Colorado
Thank you dad for becoming a paid artist at the ripe old age of 96 and sharing your bounty with us. Your generosity meant we could take our first family vacation in 11 years and add Kit to the group, too! We had a fabulous time in Colorado from August 4th through 8th and although it was short, it was sweet. Here are our photos...
